A pipeline list tells you what exists. It does not tell you what to do this morning. The Queue tab answers that question for one person: what is overdue, what is going quiet, and what is worth the next hour.

The Queue tab

The Queue opens on a plain-language summary — "6 things need you today" — followed by an opportunity snapshot and the day's work.

Figure 1: The Queue tab. The snapshot counts open deals, actions due, and stalled deals, then breaks the pipeline down by stage.

Opportunity snapshot

Three counts frame the day:

CountWhat it means
Open opportunitiesEvery deal not yet won or lost
Actions dueNext actions at or past their due date
StalledDeals with no activity for the quiet threshold

Below the counts, Pipeline by stage totals recurring (MRR) and one-time value per stage, and separates hardware out of the one-time figure where it applies — useful when you want to know how much of a stage is margin-bearing services versus pass-through equipment.

Do Today

Each card in Do Today is one next action on one deal: what it is, the deal's value, how overdue it is, and why it surfaced.

The cards say more than "overdue." "Day 13 since the proposal and 11 days past your own deadline" is a different problem from "14 days past due for Brightfield Academy" — the first is a client who has gone silent on a proposal, the second is follow-up you never made. Each card offers three responses:

  • Review the draft — open the drafted follow-up (Pro; see below).
  • Open deal — go to the deal detail screen.
  • Snooze — push the action out without losing it.

Switch between Cards and Table at the right of the section header when you would rather scan a list than read cards.

The deal plan

Opening a deal shows its value, the owner's confidence, and the evidence, plan, and timeline in one column.

Figure 2: A deal's plan. Each stage carries its own steps, and "You are here" marks the current stage.

The plan is a single spine running through every stage. Under each stage sit the steps for that stage, each with a due date and an assignee. The stage the deal currently sits at is marked You are here.

Working a step

Every step offers the same actions:

ActionWhat it does
SchedulePut the step on a technician or account manager's schedule
Link ticketAttach an existing ticket, so service work and sales work stay connected
Link taskAttach a project task
AssignHand this step to someone else without changing the deal owner
Done → set nextComplete the step and immediately name the next action

Done → set next is the important one. It refuses to let a deal go quiet by making the completion of one step the moment you choose the next. That is what keeps the Queue accurate.

Steps come pre-suggested from the stage templates configured in opportunity settingsAdd the 2 suggested steps fills the stage in one click — or you can Add a step here for work specific to this deal.

Moving the deal between stages

Click a stage circle in the plan to move the deal there. Because the stage reflects evidence rather than optimism, moving it is an explicit act; confidence is edited separately in the Your confidence card.

Quotes

The Quotes panel links a deal to AlgaPSA quoting. A deal with no quote yet shows the prompt "A sent quote moves this deal to Proposed on its own" — sending a quote against the deal advances the stage without anyone remembering to do it.

Use Link an existing quote when the quote was raised before the opportunity was.

Commitments (Pro)

Sales promises made in a meeting and forgotten before the contract is drawn are a reliable source of unbillable work. The Commitments panel records each promise as you make it. Every commitment either becomes a quote line or is explicitly declined before the deal closes, so nothing reaches delivery as an unpriced expectation.

Record commitments in the client's words — "Email migration included in the onboarding fee" — not as a task.

Drafted follow-ups (Pro)

With the AI Assistant enabled, Draft the follow-up at the top of a deal writes the next client email in your own voice, based on the deal's history and the step you just completed. Drafts are always reviewed before sending; the Queue's Review the draft button opens the same drafting flow from the day's card list.

Email drafting is configured on the Email Drafting tab of opportunity settings.

Closing a deal

The deal detail screen closes the loop with Mark won and Mark lost. Marking a deal won hands it off toward delivery — the contract, project, or onboarding work it was always about — and moves it into the Recently Closed column on the board for the review window.
