7. DocumentsUpdated: 10/8/2026
  1. Navigate to Documents from the sidebar.
  2. Click Add document.
  3. A dialog will open prompting you to choose a folder.
  4. Select a folder from the hierarchy (e.g., "No Place Like Home") and click Confirm.
    • Optional: You can create a new folder or subfolder directly from this dialog by clicking New Folder, entering the name, and clicking Create Folder.
  5. Enter a clear Document Name (e.g., "Dorothy Correspondence").
  6. Type your content in the rich text editor, using markdown shortcuts for formatting (type / for options like headings, bullet lists, tables, images, and videos).
  7. Click Save.

Inserting images

Images are fully supported in the document editor. You can add them in three ways:

  • Paste: Copy an image from your clipboard (for example, a screenshot) and paste it into the editor with Ctrl/⌘ + V.
  • Drag and drop: Drag an image file from your file explorer directly onto the editor canvas.
  • Toolbar button: Click the Insert image button in the editor toolbar, then select a file from your computer.

Once inserted, the image is uploaded to your tenant's document storage and linked to the document — it will appear in the document viewer, in client-portal article views, and when the document is exported to markdown. If an upload fails (for example, because the file is not a supported image format or exceeds the size limit), the editor shows an error notification and no content is inserted silently.

Note: Inline images are stored automatically in your tenant's Knowledge Base Attachments folder. AlgaPSA provisions this folder on first use; you do not need to manage it manually.
