6. ProjectsUpdated: 10/8/2026

Once a project is created, you must define at least one phase:

  1. In the project detail view, click + Add Phase.
  2. Enter a descriptive Phase Name (e.g., "Discovery & Planning," "Implementation," "Testing & Handover").
  3. Add a Description for what will be accomplished during this phase.
  4. Set the Start Date and End Date for the phase.
  5. (Optional) Choose a Default Service for the phase. When a time entry is launched from a task in this phase and the task itself has no default service set, AlgaPSA pre-fills the Service field with this phase-level default. This reduces re-selection when most work in a phase falls under the same service.
  6. Click Save. The phases will appear as distinct columns on the Kanban Board, visually organizing your project workflow.
