For the open-source version, you’ll find a full install guide on our Github. Hosted users can simply head to the order page to sign up, and log in to AlgaPSA—no manual setup required.

The main difference between the hosted version and the open-source version is that with the hosted AlgaPSA, there is no configuration required, we manage the monitoring and the uptime on our servers. The open-source AlgaPSA is free to download at any time, but requires manual installation and self-hosting.

We're always looking for ways to make it easier for you to try out AlgaPSA! At this time, this feature is not available. If you would like to see a VM in the future, drop us a message with all the details, and we’ll get back to you!

Our open-source PSA version is free to use and can be downloaded directly from Github, however it requires manual installation and hosting. For the cloud-hosted version with no installation required, there is a monthly subscription fee.

Yes. AlgaPSA has an open-source Community Edition that MSPs can self-host if they want direct control over deployment, data handling, and customization. The hosted version is for teams that want Nine Minds to manage uptime, monitoring, and maintenance. You can review the setup guide or compare Community and Enterprise Edition to decide which path fits your MSP.
