10.9. Connect Third-Party Applications and External Integrations
Learn where to manage AlgaPSA third-party integrations, connect external applications, and review integration settings for your MSP.
Integrations connect AlgaPSA to the outside systems your MSP already depends on, such as accounting platforms, RMM tools, and email services. Managing those connections in one place helps administrators understand which external systems are active and where data may flow.
Navigate to Settings > General in the sidebar to open Admin Settings, then select Integrations (under Data & Integration). This section is where you manage connections to external third-party applications, organized into tabs: Accounting, RMM, IT Documentation, Communication, Calendar, Providers, and Payments.
Figure 1: The Accounting tab of Integrations. Each card shows the sync model and delivery type, and Configure Integration opens that provider's setup.
- Open Settings > General, then click Integrations in the Admin Settings sidebar.
- Pick the tab for the kind of system you are connecting — accounting packages, RMM platforms, IT documentation, communication, calendars, providers, or payments — and review the available providers. Use the provider-specific documentation for setup details when a connector has its own workflow.
- Select the integration you want to configure and click Configure Integration on its card.
- Review the connection status and any required configuration before enabling it for production use.
- Enter credentials or mapping details only when the provider-specific guide asks for them. For example, QuickBooks Online has a dedicated connection process, while RMM providers have their own organization and alert mapping steps.
- Save or complete the integration using the action provided on that integration's page.
- After connecting, run a small operational check. Confirm that the connected provider shows the expected status and that data appears in the right place in AlgaPSA.
After a successful setup, the integration should appear connected or configured, and your team should be able to use the connected workflow. For accounting, that may mean invoices can sync. For an RMM, it may mean devices or alerts can move into AlgaPSA according to the provider's rules.
Use the specific integration guide whenever one exists. See Connect QuickBooks Online for live accounting sync and How RMM Integrations Work in AlgaPSA for the shared RMM model.
Operational tip: document who owns each third-party account. If the person who created an OAuth app, API key, or accounting connection leaves the MSP, knowing the owner makes credential rotation and troubleshooting much faster.
