AlgaPSA hits its stride with v1.2: MCP, new integrations, and a download-and-run appliance

There comes a time in every product journey when all of the investments start to pay off, and the team building the software can really start sprinting. For AlgaPSA, this is where we are.

This release brings a stack of new features, including MCP server support, ticket closure rules, inbound email filtering and routing, and (my favorite) a personal task management area.

In addition, this is the release for new integrations. We've added brand new integrations for Level.io, Huntress, and Hudu. We also have a new integration for Tactical RMM that is available in our community edition as well as our Pro tier. These are the most requested integrations from our community.

We've also improved our existing ones. QuickBooks is now available with OAuth connectivity and live sync, so no more CSV exports. You can now create and schedule Microsoft Teams (Premium) meetings directly from AlgaPSA.

Special call out to the MCP server. I grew up reading Isaac Asimov and dreaming about robots, so I'll never not be excited about AI and the future. It feels like living in the future with MCP, where you can just ask Claude or ChatGPT to look at your tickets, schedule tasks, enter your time, and more.

We are also introducing a completely new way to run AlgaPSA: an on-premise appliance you can download and run yourself, no developer experience required. It comes in two tiers. Essentials is our community edition, and it's free - a full PSA, running on your own hardware, at no cost. Pro matches our hosted environment, feature-for-feature, and is available with no surcharge for running it on-premises rather than in our cloud. Expect a full write-up on the appliance soon.
