Asset Types and Their Quick Details:
The form shows a small set of relevant fields as soon as you pick a type:
- Workstation: OS Type (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and OS Version (e.g., 11, Monterey, Ubuntu 22.04).
- Server: OS Type (e.g., Windows Server, Ubuntu Server) and OS Version (e.g., 2022, 22.04 LTS).
- Network Device: Device Type (Switch, Router, Firewall, Access Point, or Load Balancer) and Management IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1).
- Mobile Device: OS Type (iOS or Android) and Model (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro, Galaxy S23).
- Printer: Model (e.g., HP LaserJet Pro M404n).
Adding Full Hardware Specifications:
The quick-add form captures the essentials so you can register a device quickly. To record complete hardware specifications (CPU, RAM, storage, firmware, IP addresses, and more), open the asset and edit it (see 16.4. Edit Asset Details).
Tip: If a client has no saved locations yet, you can still enter a custom location on the asset, or create locations from the client record first.
