The Assets module is your single inventory of every device you manage across all of your clients: workstations, servers, network gear, mobile devices, and printers. You can navigate to Assets from the sidebar in AlgaPSA. The dashboard opens on the asset list, with summary metrics across the top and a filterable table of every asset below.

Reading the Metrics Cards:

Three cards summarize the current view:

  • Total Assets: The count of assets across all clients.
  • Filtered view: How many assets match your currently active filters and search.
  • Automation ready: Active maintenance schedules, with Upcoming and Overdue counts.

Switching Between Table and Grid Views:

The inventory can be displayed as a table (one row per asset) or as a grid of asset cards. Use the view toggle to switch between them — the grid is useful for a quick visual scan, while the table is better for sorting and bulk selection.

Searching and Filtering:

  • Search: Type into the search box to find assets by name, tag, or serial number.
  • Status: Filter by Active, Inactive, or Maintenance.
  • Type: Filter by Workstation, Server, Network Device, Mobile Device, or Printer.
  • Agent: Filter by remote-monitoring (RMM) state, including RMM Managed and Not Managed.
  • Client: Use the client picker to narrow the list to a single client.
  • Columns: Choose which columns appear in the table (Name, Tag, Type, Details, Status, Agent, Client, Location).
  • Reset: Clears all active filters and the search term in one click.

The default table columns are Name, Tag, Type, Status, Client, Location, and Actions.

Row Actions:

Open the actions (gear) menu on any row to:

  • View details - open the full asset record.
  • Edit asset - jump straight to the edit form.
  • Create ticket - log a service ticket against that asset.

Using the Command Palette:

Open the asset Command Palette with the keyboard shortcut to quickly search across your assets and launch quick actions such as Create asset, Refresh data, and Reset. Begin typing to search the full asset list without leaving the keyboard.

Adding and Refreshing Assets:

  • Click Add Asset to register a new asset with the quick-add form (see 16.2. Register a New Asset).
  • Click Refresh data to re-fetch the latest asset information from the server.
  • Use Print (and Print options) to produce a printable list of all or selected assets.
