16.10. Bulk-Update Asset Status and Location, and Print Asset Lists

When you need to act on many devices at once (e.g. after a site move, a client offboarding, or a status sweep), bulk actions let you update them together.

Selecting Assets:

On the Asset Inventory Dashboard table:

• Tick the checkbox on any row to select that asset.
• Use the header checkbox to Select all visible assets.
• Hold Shift and click to select a range of rows.

As soon as one or more assets are selected, a bulk action bar appears showing how many are selected.

Bulk Actions:

• Bulk status update: Set every selected asset to Active, Inactive, or Maintenance.
• Bulk location update: Apply a saved or custom location to all selected assets, or clear their location.
• Bulk delete: Remove the selected assets together (subject to the same deletion validation as individual assets).

Use Clear selection to deselect everything.

Printing and Exporting Asset Lists:

1. Click Print (or Print options) from the dashboard toolbar.
2. In Print options, choose which columns to include: Name, Tag, Type, Status, Client, and Location.
3. Print the full inventory, or print only the assets you've selected.

This produces a clean, formatted list you can save to PDF or hand off for audits and stock-takes.
