This section outlines how to modify existing projects, their phases, and individual tasks.


Editing a Project

From the main Projects list, click the three dots menu next to a project and select Edit. A drawer will open where you can modify the following details:

  • Project Name.
  • Status: Change the current stage of the project (e.g., "Initiating Spell," "Closed").
  • Client and Contact.
  • Project Manager.
  • Budgeted Hours.
  • Tags: Add or remove project tags (e.g., "Urgent").
  • Start Date and End Date.
  • Click Save Changes to apply the updates.

Editing a Phase

From the Project's detailed view, click the pencil icon next to a phase name.

  • Update the Phase Name, Description, and Start/End Dates.
  • Click Save.

Editing a Task

From the Project's Kanban board, click on a task card to open the detailed "Edit Task" dialog. You can modify the following elements:

  • Core Details: Modify the task name, description, assigned users (primary and additional agents), estimated/actual hours, due date, task type, and priority.
  • Checklist: Add, remove, or edit checklist items to break down the task into smaller sub-components.
  • Dependencies: Click Add Dependency to link the task to other related tasks by type (e.g., "Blocked by," "Related to").
  • Associated Tickets: Click Link Ticket to search for and associate an existing ticket with the task.
  • Attachments:
    • New: Create a new rich text document to directly associate with the task.
    • Upload: Upload new files directly to the task.
    • Link: Associate documents already in Alga PSA with the task.
  • Comments (Internal Only):
    1. Navigate to the Comments section.
    2. Type a comment and click Add Comment.
    3. Tag Teammates: To alert a teammate, type the @ symbol, and select the user from the dropdown list. The tagged user will receive a notification.
  • Click Update to save all changes to the task.
